Those short elm trees lining...Very nice read Jonny. Those short elm trees lining the path are used as feeder stock sometimes for "thatch roofs". Something I learned from my Dutch wife. I agree with you, very surreal. BTW, next year if you get the chance, go visit one of the best bicycle shops in Holland, Pleiger Sport in Meerkerk (just "nord" of Gorinchem, between the two rivers as they say. Gerrit Pleiger is personal friends with Eddy. The collection of frames in that shop are unbelievable!
